Have you ever stopped to think that being joyful or happy is a choice? When was the last time that you felt joyful or happy? We often hear the expression: “your thoughts create your reality”. What are your thoughts creating? Since being positive is pivotal for healing and serenity, it would behoove you to develop a more positive outlook in your life. Happiness is created by positive or pleasant thoughts. Happy people learn to deal with life more easily and manage stress well. They anticipate challenge and attract more positive people and outcomes into their life.
You too can choose to be happy and joyful. You have the ability to live a joyful life, no matter what is going on around you. In this evening’s presentation, you will discover ways to return to this “child like joy”, and change the way you view life. You will uncover the unhelpful habits and pitfalls that rob you of joy. More importantly, you will learn some easy ways to change your thought pattern, and develop some customs that help you be more serene. Join us and liberate the joyful person within as you begin to see happiness and wonder in each moment.

Presenter: JoAnne Ceccarelli-Egan, M.T.S; LCSW has been combining psychotherapy with Spiritual practice for over 25 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Calvary Retreat until 2007 when she launched a Positive Thinking Program entitled Journey Back to Self. She has since recorded a self help CD and been on the lecture circuit in the Tri-City area. She continues a small clinical practice at the Retreat House and occasionally gives lectures sharing strategies that will help one develop ways to create a happier more joyful life.
