Advent Retreat Day – O Antiphons

Join us for an Advent Retreat Day at OLC!

“O come, o come, Emmanuel…”

The most familiar Advent hymn, and every verse is actually based on an “O Antiphon.” During the final days of Advent, praying with these antiphons provides us with a novena for Christmas. Although 1000 years old, their rich imagery and history speak to us now, inviting us to peace and prayer in preparation for Christmas, and not to haste and hurry.

Our Advent Retreat Day will include an opportunity to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Mass, and lunch.

Presenter: Sr. Elissa Rinere, C.P. has been a Passionist sister for over 30 years. She holds a Master’s degree in education from the University of Rhode Island and a Doctorate in Canon Law (J.C.D.) from Catholic University of America. She has spent many years working in the Church as both a canon lawyer and pastoral minister.
