Essential Oils of the Bible
October 7 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm$25
This class is based in part on the book The Healing Oils of the Bible by Dr. David Stewart. Bible verses that reference essential oils and their use will be shared. Discussion includes the significance of holy incense and aromatherapy in Biblical times as compared to how the same oils are used in modern times.
Essential oils have been an integral part of the daily lives of people for over ten thousand years. They have been used to support the body, mind, and spirit since before the time of record-keeping as we know it. The ten most significant or most frequently mentioned oils of the bible include Aloes (also known as sandalwood), Cassia, Cedarwood, Cypress, Frankincense, Hyssop, Myrrh, Myrtle, Onycha, Rose of Sharon (also known as cistus), and Spikenard. These ten oils and other oils will be available for participants to experience their aroma and effects. Only Young Living Essential Oils will be used.
