The World of Mary and Joseph

One of the significant benefits of making a pilgrimage to the Holy Land is the ability to visualize biblical scenes within their actual landscape. While travel to Israel is challenging at the moment, we invite you to join us on a virtual tour of the world of Mary and Joseph. Discover how studying scripture alongside archaeology can reveal insights about their lives, particularly regarding the Nativity of Jesus.

This day will include Mass and an opportunity for Confession with Fr. Matt Grorek. Our day will include lunch.

Presenter: Sister Mary Ann Strain, CP, entered the Sisters of the Cross and Passion in 1977 and was professed in 1979. She holds a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from Providence College. Sister Mary Ann has spent most of her religious life in retreat ministry as Program Director here at OLC, on the Passionist Preaching band, preaching parish missions throughout the United States, and as a member of the retreat team at Holy Family Passionist Retreat Center. In 1999 she was fortunate to travel to Israel and Jordan with the late renowned scripture scholar Fr. Donald Senior, CP.
