The Spiritual Purpose of Relationships
June 5 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm
$40“Why does that annoying person continue to be in your life? Why does he or she irritate you so much? What does God want you to do about it?
Relationships are meant to help us become better individuals according to God’s plan. God’s ideal concept of a relationship does not involve someone who always says yes to us. Instead, God places some people in our lives to love and support us, while others, like that annoying person, challenge us to confront our issues and heal them.
JoAnne will examine our relationships with God, ourselves, our loved ones, and those “challenging others” with this purpose in mind. The conference will include reflection questions, quiet time, group sharing, and lunch.
JoAnne Ceccarelli-Egan, a Clinical Social Worker and Pastoral Counselor, will lead the program. She started at OLC in 1989, where she set up a private counseling practice and became a member of the Retreat Team from 1989 to 2007. She returned to the retreat team in 2021 and is overjoyed to be presenting programs once again.”
