Like the two disciples on the Road to Emmaus, (Luke 24: 13-35) Jesus desires to accompany us, listen to our hearts, console, and encourage us.
How are things going? What is yet longing in your mind/heart that seeks new life?
During our gathering, there will be an opening presentation on the gift of ‘encouragement,’ with opportunities for quiet reflection, journaling, and small group conversations.
Takeaways from our gathering will include deepening in the grace of encouragement by prayerfully reflecting on the passage of the Road to Emmaus, engaging in imaginative prayer, gaining insight about what interferes with the gift of encouragement, and receiving ways to better proceed during any times or experiences of discouragement.
